Yes chipping can occur on granite countertops. Most times this will occur along the edge of the countertop, caused by pots and pans banging up against them. The main are is often around the kitchen sink area where alot of heavy washing is done. Chips can be filled with clear epoxys and polished down. This is not something we reccomend a homeowner do themselves.
